What's with the black screen?

after i installed 256 memory to my computer i turn on the computer and all i get is a black screen.. i have 128 sdram pc133 memory chip in it.and i bought a 256 sdram pc133 memory chip too put along side of it....

It sounds like a parity issue On some old motherboard you have to upgrade the DIMM chips in pairs (ie: you would need two 128MB chips, or two 256MB chips installed for them to work) It can also mean that you've reached the memory limit for that motherboard.
