Does anybody know what is the function of the FDISK/MBR command?

Hello Devin, I would like to explain to you that the FDISK/MBR command in DOS is a command which repairs a damaged master boot record program stored at the beginning of the partition table.

Hopefully this helps you to understand what the fdisk/mbr command is.
