What is A+ certification?

I’ve heard of A+ certification, what is A+ certification? I ask this because many of my co-workers are talking about getting A+ certified.

A certification is a certification awardedby CompTIA (the computing Technology Industry Association) that measures a PC technicians knowledge of the skills and behaviors expected of entry-level PC technicians Many companies require that their technicians have A certification.
