I will try this again, system crash. When I partition my hard drive (C) I loose one of my CD-ROM drives. Non Partitioned configuration is: A=floppy, C=hard drive, D=CR-Rom, E= CD-ROM/Burner. During partiton new Drive letters are assigned. D=new partition drive, D moves to E and E moves to F. Problem is when all is said and done "F" is not shown in either the Explorer or the PC Workplace. I have tried Partitioning using fdisk, and Partition Magic, unpluging the CD-Drivers and deleting their Registry entries, and assigining the CD-Drives Fixed letters under system proprieties. Still no "F"!!!!
What is wrong? Is this a Win98 or a Bios problem and do think you can find a fix.
I hope to hear from you soon!! and so in advance

You can assign drive letters to your CD-Rom drives by following these steps:
Click Start, Settings, and then Control Panel
Double-click System, and then click on the Device Manager tab
Click the next to CD-ROM Click on the CD-Rom drive you want change, and then click the Properties button
Click the Settings tab Near the bottom of the window that opens there will be a Reserved Drive Letters section, set Start Drive Letter and End Drive Letter to the drive letter you want the CD-ROM drive to use Click OK until you return to Control Panel (Be sure to click OK, not Cancel or the X to close the window)
Do the same for the second CD-Rom drive, then restart the computer
