How to get printer to print properly?

Hello, i have this problem with my printer. It does not print sometimes and when it does decide to print it prints like 10 sheets with just letters and numbers across the page. what can i do to fix this? thanks in advance for your help.

It is most likely that you are having this problem because you need to update your printer's drivers I see you have an HP printer so here is a link to their website where you can type in the model of your printer and you will be able to download the latest drivers for your printer: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/software.html
