I accidently changed the path of my files. I changed the path to "wordpad". Now that it is changed everytime I try to open a file it opens up wordpad and the error message "C:\Documents Cannot find this file. Please verify that the correct path and filename are given."

How do I "undo" this mess?

This was how my problem occurred, I clicked on

control panel>folder options>file types>file folders>advanced>new>browse>wordpad.

please help.

Try this:

go to control panel>folder options>file types> high light file folders by clicking it at the bottom you will see details for 'file folder' file type next to it will be an advanced button

in the advanced tab area you will see ACTIONS box first should be find next would be MS wordpad highlight word pad and use the remove button on the right side then highlight find and set as defualt this should clear up your problem
