How do you stop spam?

Since I got my new Dell computerI am getting spamed to death. Nothing else changed. I visit the same web sites. Receive e-mail from the same people. Most of the spam is for medication. They usually have a persons name, but no return address.

The only way I can think of getting rid of the internet spam is by using the Google toolbar for free from google, and picking a hotmail or yahoo email account which gives you a separate spam inbox If spam gets through on your email account you can label it as spam and it gets rid of it indefinately Also you can download adware and spybot programs onto your computer which stop all these pop ups and spam.
