After I purchased my HP Pavilion 7955 computer the software that HP placed on my harddrive in the hidden partition became corrupt. HP, after a long fight, gave me the CD's necessary to rebuild my system. My question is this:

Is it possible to eliminate the hidden partition to regain that space since I now have the software on CD's?

Thanks,

The answer is yes.

Now that you have the software on CD, one of the CD's should be the installation CD.

Insert that CD in you CD ROM and follow the instruction to do a clean install which entail you deleting the existing partitions and reformatting your hard drive from the beginning.

This will allow you to reallocate drive space for your partitions, of course based on the software requirements, how many Operating Systems you want on your hard drive, etc.
