Can not open Volume control

I can't open my volume control. I have Creative Sound Blaster and when I double click on the colume icon in the tray it places a button on the start bar that says (Audigy emblem) "Play Control" but nothing opens. I have reinstalled my sound software and I don't know what else to do.

You are probably not able to view your volume controls because Creative Sound Blaster is not set up as your default device Click on Start->Control Panel Double click on the icon labeled 'Sounds and Audio Devices' Under the 'Audio' tab make sure your default device is set up as Creative Sound Blaster You will also be able to adjust your volume controls from the same window Simply click on the Volume tab and adjust the slider to the preferred level Good Luck!!
