Windows 98 User...I opened an attachment last month and caught a virus. VI Robot took care
of this but ever since, my browser has been hijaked. URL about:blank/Microsoft search. No Protocol. No statistics in properties. I change it in my tools/options but it magically reappears
upon relaunch. Ad-Aware didn't fix it. SpyBot didn't fix it. Please help. What should I try next? Should there be laws against this sort of thing? Thank you in advance. Your team is
awesome. I am spreading the word about Data Doctor.

If you have lost the protocol prefix in the URL, then you need to re-establish you internet connection from scratch.
For Windows98, Dial-up Networking must be installed as an Operating System component on your PC by using the ADD/REMOVE Programs applet in the Control Panel.
When Win98 installs Dial-up Networking, it also "installs" a dial-up adapter This dial-up adapter acts as a virtual network card.
After Dial-up Networking is installed, click Start, point to Programs, Accessories, Communications, and then click Dial-up Networking The Dial-up Networking dialog box appears.
Double-click Make a new connection, then click Next.
Enter a name for your connection (the name of your ISP).
In the next dialog box, thype the phone number to dial then click Next.
Click finish
Just follow the direction to fully complete the process.
