I just got a new amd athalon xp 2700+ i was messing around a bit with it to see how high i could overclock it. Turns out that it was already overclocked from a 1500 to a 2700. Anyway the computer will keeps restarting if the cpu load is too high and its aggravating me because this thing is brand new. Please help me

To whom it may concern:

It is very common for a computer to constantly restart if overclocked, the reason for this being that the processor is overheating There might be 2 solutions, first you can reasearch into getting a cooler for your processor that allows you to overclock your computer, one of these being watercooling A very common kit can be found at www.koolance.com Second would be to set your processor back to default clock speed through your BIOS, by doing this the processor will not run as hot as when it is overclocked letting out less heat and therefore ending the constant restarting of your computer.
