Whats wrong with your windows 2000?

My windowns 2000 starts up and shuts down very slowly. I seems like it takes forever. Any ideas?

Have you tried cleaning out your cookies and temp files?

Also defrag the pc by clicking start, programs, accessories, system tools, disk defragmenter

This may also play a part in the startup and shutdown of the pc.
