I just finished wiping my whole hard drive on my computer. I have just finished installing windows 95, and upgrading to windows 98. I can't seem to change the monitor setting from 16 colors to anything more, which isn't right. I don't know what the kind the video card is. How can I change it to 1-bit or 2-bit color? or even 256 colors?

Before you try changing from 16 to 32 bit or 256, you need to install the drivers for your video card To find out about your video card device go to settings/control panel/system devices/right click on video cards and select the properity Once you find out what your video card is use your installation disk to install the drivers for your video card and then try adjusting your colors You can also download the drivers from the internet.
