Our computer will not recognize drive A. Is there a simple fix or does it require disk doctor?
Thank you in advance for your help.

You must power down your PC making sure that everything is off.
Then open your tower You need to check to make sure that the data cable has been inserted properly in its conntection to the floppy drive itself, as well as making sure that it has been properly connected to the motherboard.
There is a RIGHT way to insert the data cable.
When plugging in the cable, if you look at it there is a red line on oneside of the cable, from one end to the other That red line should be facing the outside or opening of the tower You must also line up the notch indicators at the each of the cable inot the IDE socket on the motherboard and into the socket on floppy drive.
When you power up your tower, go into the CMOS settings, and make sure that the A drive is included in the BOOT SEQUENCE.
Once your PC has been booted up, go into MY COMPUTER, and your A drive should be recognized.
