Why is my computer shutting down right after I turn it on?

Hi

Had problems with the tower shutting down staright after i turned it on suspecting a powersupply problem replaced the AC supply but still the same problem then replaced the battery now the tower stays on but it makes a beeping like the one when you are shutting it down trought windows .

plus the monitor does not come on have tryed a differt monitor only thing have not tryed is clearing cmos ram .... my mother board is a oju 2000 (cb641x-bx).......

Since you have changed the power supply already, the next step is to go back into the tower and make sure all the connections connecting the drives to the motherboard and power supply have been properly connected.

Then you also should make sure that the RAM sticks themselves have been inserted into the proper slots on the motherboard and that they have inserted correctly.

Correctly means that you have lined up the notch indicators that are on the bottom of the RAM stick to the notch indicators that are in slots themselves.

One of possible reasons why your PC just shut down is that the RAM may not have been placed properly so whenb you attempted to boot there was no place for the operating system to open up when it has been pulled from ROM (hard drive).
