Let Data Doctors be your personal IT department today

I have an all in wonder 9800 Pro ATI graphics card on my desktop. I record television on the desktop. I want to transfer the file to my laptop. And watch the television show on my laptop.

PROBLEM:

The desktop records the file as an .vcr and only "ATI file player" will play the program.

The laptop a (NVIDIA card) does not recognize the format .vcr

I tried the possible fix from ATI.com (this was suppose to some how install driver's to work).

This is the what the download was called. ATIVCRx.EXE

the download included the following codec:

ATI Packed YUV Data

ATI YVU9 Planar (Indeo Raw)

ATI YVU12 (MPEG Raw)

ATI VCR 1.0

ATI VCR 2.0

It still does not play. the show.

I need a program that will play a .vcr video file from ATI.

Please help. I am unable to locate one.

Thanks, Carl

Carl:

First Open the ATI Library, find the file that you want to convert, right click it and it brings up the menu where you can choose to "export to MPEG-2" this will export the file to MPEG-2 format, and then you can use your other tools to play with it and do with it what you like and transfer it to your laptop for your viewing pleasure.

Sincerely,

Dimitros Theodorou
