How do I keep my computer from doing things on it's own?

My computer does some weird things. Internet Explorer causes errors and closes the window, computer shuts itself down, download errors.

Bought new harddrive from Best Buy, installed 2 other harddrives that we already had, bought everything else from new egg.com.

HELP

This question was answered on April 21, 2004. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


First you have to make sure that your new harddrive is compatible with your motherboard If it isn't, then contact the manufacturer to find the correct harddrive for your computer As far as the "2" other hardrives you've installed Take them out, the harddrives could be damaged and this could be corrupting your system NOTE: Just because some computer components are at a reasonably low price, does'nt mean it's right for your computer Always look to see if it is compatible first This will save you time and money
