Recently updated OUtlook Express, now I cannot read my mail

I recently updated outlook express from the miscrosoft critical updates . . . since then I can not read my mail. I see the file names but went I open them to read them there is no message. I just keep getting the busy pointer not nothing ever loads. Thanks . . . Ron

First make sure that you haven't run out of space for your email make sure your email is not 100% capacity Check for viruses in your computer, make sure that you have all of the new windows upgrades, new virus critical scans, you may also have some corruptions in your drives that enable you to read and to connect to your email.
