My PC won’t produce any output (blank screen), I had a worm that was detected and removed by Norton, but after I switched of the PC when I turn it back on all I get is a blank screen. The CD ROM works, but I cant get a boot from this, nor the floppy drive. The CPU fan is working, but there is a RED light on the motherboard, that I have not noticed before.

There is no beep when the PC is turned on.

Any suggestions?

If all you are getting is a blank screen, even after you have turn off and turned back on your computer, the it seems as though you have lost all your data on the hard drive

If that is the case, you will need to reinstall from the very beginning, everything from the operating system to the software you had configured on the computer If that does not work,

then you will have to replace the hard drive, because that would also mean that your hard drive has badly damaged sectors and cannot repaired Your only recourse is to replace the drive and start from the beginning.
