Why can't IE find my homepage

Hi there, Hope someone can help.

I cannot display any web pages. Internet Explorer was working VERY slowly, it was taking ages to open a page so I did a virus scan and discovered NetskyB . I removed this this with a removal tool from Symatec. Since then I cannot view any pages or collect my e-mails. I can connect without a problem, then IE spends a few minutes trying to find my homepage and then gives up. I have tried using Mozilla without success.Any ideas anyone.
