How do I get my processor to work for my computer?

im having trouble installing a new processor on my computer, its a pentium three, and it already had pentiom three in it, but this one is just newer, i cant figure out why it wont work.

The problem is that you have an old motherboard that is not compatible with your new processor Contact the manufacturer to get the correct motherboard for your new processor.
