in xp, during start up I get an error message "MonitorStart:Unable to set talkback system hook".cannot find the solution anywhere on my PC. Please help. Thankyou

This question was answered on May 24, 2004. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


Please perform clean boot to clarify if the problem is caused by your computer's environment (that is, by conflicting drivers, terminate-and-stay programs or other settings that are loaded at startup) To do so:

1 Click "Start" -> "Run" and type "msconfig", press Enter;

2 Under "General" tab choose "Selective startup" and unselect ?Load Startup Items? checkbox;

3 Reboot
