I need a video card that is compatible with 32 bit DirectX player. There is a slot on the left side of the machine that is supposed to be for a video card. But I don't know what kind to get and a salesman at CompUSA says that you can't put a video card in there and that they are not available. Is this true? According to Sony it is supposed to be a PCI slot. Thanks. Shirley

Shirley:

Most video cards these days are being made for AGP slot which is the brown slot on your motherboard closest to the CPU If all you have is a PCI slot, there is a company called ATI that sells a video card that supports DirectX which is called the "Radeon 7500 64mb PCI" You can purchase this at www.ati.com or other ATI retailers This is a low end video card that supports Direct X If you are looking for something high end you would need a AGP slot video card.

Sincerely,

Dimitrios Theodorou
