The first thing you need to do is to upgrade your internet speed to a minimum speed of 128k modem You also need to upgrade your memory to a minimum 256mb This will help support your system.Yahoo! Games and Yahoo! Chat work best when your Web browser is newer than Netscape Navigator 4 or Internet Explorer 4 Older browsers have more difficulty running games and chat programs If you are using Internet Explorer 3.xx or lower, or Netscape 3.xx or lower, please upgrade your Web browser Is it your Operating System?
Windows 3.1, Dreamcast, and WebTV (or other Web appliances) do not support Java, and will not let you run Yahoo! Games or Yahoo! Chat
If you are using AOL, CompuServe, or Prodigy, you might not be able to chat or play games at all at Yahoo! To fully take advantage of your new Sun Java Plug-in, Sun recommends you use a Sun supported Web browser to chat or play games on Yahoo!
For example, connect to your online service provider, minimize their Web browser, and then launch an external Web browser Sun supports Mozilla 1.0 and newer, Netscape 4.x and newer, and Internet Explorer 4.x and newer
If you are behind a firewall or using a proxy server, you may be unable to play Yahoo! Games at all Firewalls need to have port 11999 open You will also need TCP inbound and outbound access for this port Yahoo! games hosts are currently:
yog1.games.scd.yahoo.com
yog2.games.scd.yahoo.com
.. up to yog55.games.scd.yahoo.com
You will need to do a nslookup on these hosts to find out their IP addresses The IP address of a game host is necessary to configure a firewall or proxy server
