What is installing updates?

Help,

Ddhelp caused and error in GDI.exe after installing MSN 8 and again in MSN 9. MSN messanger will freeze computer, or diconnect. Have tried to repair but am concerned that several installs, updates and program removal and reinstalls on MSN and messanger, that I may be missing a file or an update to my Hp graphic controller or something along that line. No virus, no fire wall no network and only dial up available to me at this time.

ME is Microsofts most unstable Operating Systems I would strongly recommend checking for the latest updates and patches from Microsoft.

you have a toold called Dr Watson .exe - it traps errors in log files created by pplications and takes a snapshot of the system to use for troublshooting

from start, run, cmd Dr Watson

lastly i would recommend upgrading to Windows XP.........................

with that being said you may need to check for viruses.
