I'm getting a scan result that the file C:\WINDOWS\downloaded Program Files\HDPlugin1015.dll is missing from my hard drive and may be causing the crashes. How do I get this file restored to be able to not be dropped from the internet?

Start your computer and key F8 to enter your Start up Menu and click on

Comand Prompt When you come to the C prompt type in scanreg /fix

This should restore your missing Dll.

Or

If you go to start>run then type sfc /scannow ensure that a space between the sfc and the slash this will scan your system for missing or corrupt files it will ask for you xp disk and will take about 20 min if this file is required by window it will restore it however the way you email reads it looks like you have downloaded a program and then uninstalled it or something like and left part of the program behind .you could just restore the computer to an earlier restore point using system restore
