i just purchased my motherboard, processor, ram, and case. everything is connected properly, however, when i go to format my 80gig western digital hard drive to put windows xp on it, it keeps spitting out errors. most notedly that it couldn't be formatted, and sometimes an irql error. should i return the motherboard and ram and get new ones or what should i do?

First you must install EZ bios for your motherboard and Western Digital harddrive Your motherboard will then be able to recognize your harddrive You should then be able to install Windows XP.
