We just moved to Germany where the voltage is 220 and we were setting up our computer and accidentally plugged the tower in without flipping the switch to convert it. Well, it popped and smelled a little funny. It was only plugged in for less than a second. Did we completely fry the computer or is there something that we can to do to at least save the info if we can't salvage the computer?

Unfortunately your computer is gone Your power supply is connect to the motherboard Therefore, by you putting so much voltage to it you've completely burned out your motherboard, along with anything that is attached to the motherboard Your better off just getting another pc Rather than trying to save your current one.
