HP Pentium 4 laptop only a year old and hardly used is experiencing two problems after being stored away for a few months.

1. AC adaptor does power the unit up but does nt recharge battery. Amber colored light alerts a problem exists.

2. Keyboard imput irradic. Every 7-10th stoke does not appear on display. Not any particular character is the missing of the imput.

Are these two problems related? I can't imagine both occurring at the same time....

The laptop has not been dropped or jostled in any way - completely dormant and unaffected.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, Mitchell hughes

Well it sounds to me like your battery is dead I would call up HP and have them replace it As for your keyboard I wuldnt say these problems are related
