My screen has gotten smaller

My screen has gottin smaller. There is a 2 1/2'' black border around the desktop. Every thing has shrunk. Wha can i do to fix it? OR How do i fix it?

When your computer starts up get to your desktop Right click away from any program on your desktop Then you will see a dropdown menu, click on properties, then click on the Settings tab You sould see screen resolution, move it over to 800 by 600 pixels Hit the 'Apply' button then click 'OK' and every thing should be fine.
