I am still running a couple of DOS applications on my Windows 98 SE OS. After I replaced my motherboard with a new AMD Athlon 2700+ board with 1 gig of RAM, suddenly the DOS apps have 'out of memory' issues. One of the apps is Lotus 1-2-3 version 2.4 for DOS. It requires "expanded memory" but the new system is not recognizing the EMM386 file which provides this memory. Never had these problems with the old motherboard, Athlon 800. I've tried to tweak the config.sys file with EMM386 switches, but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any experience in this area?

Did you reinstall windows after the motherboard change? That is most likely
the problem You changed a major component that gets configured during
windows setup Motherboards are not a plug and play type device meaning you
can have major issues without reinstalling the Operating system letting it
configure itself for your non plug and play hardware.
