Windows me

I need to reinstall windows me because of a problem with the VxD dynamic link call VShield (01)+ 00003897 to 3FA1, Service 8016,8017,8022, 8023 and 8025...The error message says that if I use the restore feature and it does not solve the problems I am having I need to do a reinstall of windows me...

How do I do this? and do I have to reformate my hard drive to do this?

What you have to do is insert the windows ME cd while in windows, after that the windows me installation screen will appear and choose new installation after that all you have to do is follow the windows me setup instructions for installation and probably you are going to have to format your hard disk.
