Removing McAfee completely rom your computer

error message that basically says active shield has to be reinstall to operate McAfee. I thuoght I deleted McAfee. I have a new virus scanner. It is AVG. How do I completely delete Mcafee?

Uninstall McAfee VirusScan from Add/Remove Programs.

2 Go into Windows Explorer - Program Files and delete any folder with the name "McAfee", "VirusScan", or "Network Associates".

3 Go into Find - Files And Folders and delete any files that appear under "mcafee" or "virusscan".

4 Go into the AUTOEXEC.BAT file and delete any command reference to the program.

5 Go into the Registry and delete any folder with the above 3 names in step #2 under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER - SOFTWARE key and the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE key.

6 Reboot your computer.
