Software to copy camcorder tapes to dvd file format

I have got a bunch of software to burn files to my DVD burner.

I can copy a studio DVD perfectly to another and defeat the guards.

I can copy files to a DVD and get 4.7GB of disk space.

But what I NEED is softward to allow me to copy my camcorder tapes to DVD file format. This is the reason I got the DVD burner and the software I have, hoping that they would do this but they do not do what I need

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

To spare us any duplicate suggestions I already have the following software.

DVD X COPY XPRESS (standard, v.2.5.2 retail and Platinum), Rozio Easy CD & DVD creator 6, DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink 3.1.

What I think I need is a program that will convert Windows Media Player files to DVD compatible files

If I do not get this solved, I will never hear the end of it and it will make purchasing new toys even that much harder

In this case I suggest doing the following:

1 Upgrade Windows Media Player to 9.0 version - download and install Windows Media Player 9.0 by this link:

2 Download and install Windows Media Encoder 9 Series http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/1/f/81f9402f-efdd-439d-b2a4-089563199d47/WMEncoder.exe
