I am having difficulty networking my compaq laptop to my desktop. I have my cable mosed going to my wireless hub and a wireless card on my laptop and my desktop. I have when through the steps to do this several time but can't share files to the other computer. I have even tried turning off the windowd firewall that is automaticly coming on when I set it up but it won't work. I can' access either computer using the other computer. Both computers are running Win XP Pro. What else can I do to make this work?

If your cable modem came with drivers, you have to install these same drivers on your laptop.

Once this is done Have your internet service provider (ping) your laptop after you've connected your ethernet or usb cable connection to your laptop Once the provider can see your laptop, they will send you a signal to your laptop to share the network.
