What happens if two different versions of software are on the same computer?

when on internet run time erreo keeps comeing up is this a computer problem or a internet problem im on aol 7 and i have aol 9 on the same syteme many thanks

It's possible that when two versions of software (such as aol 7.0 and 9.0) are installed on the computer, errors might occur since they both use the same components and files to operate If one version of the software is installed and another one is being installed, usually it looks for any older versions of its software When it does it uses whatever files it needs to update the files and to retain data for the user If there are two versions of the same software, it's best to uninstall the older version and keep the newer one
