Can't access floppy disk and cannot find sound card?

Windows XP Home Edition access floppy disk, you receive error messages:

A:\ is not accessible.device not ready -or- Disk i not formatted

CAN NOT FIND SOUND CARD

WHEN, WHO, WHERE, WHAT MANUFACTURER

Pull out data cable and power cable on A: drive and reinsert it If that doesn't work replace the data cable only Still no luck, replace the drive Their pretty cheap, under $20.

Data cables need to be replaced or reset on each Try reseating (remount) sound card, also reinstall the drivers for the sound card, they may have gotten corrupt.
