I have recovered my Windows 98 SE system files from the Dell Recovery CD that came with my system -- Win98SE was pre-installed by Dell. I also have Norton SystemWorks installed. I am not able to backup my system.. I want to do a complete system backup but when I go to start-programs-accessories-systemtools- backup absolutely nothing happens...... and it is installed when I go to control panel-windows setup- system tools-backup. I am considering reinstalling it from the control panel but I don't have a Win98SE installation disk to reinstall it -- just the Dell Product Recovery cd. And I am not sure if the Norton isn't conflicting with it and preventing it from running anyway, so reinstalling may not even help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try disabling your Norton system works then try to backup your files again You have to remember that Norton is a firewall and it will react to unfamiliar activities.
