Your Display Settings can definitely be the problem in this case Sometimes computer games have to be set in a certain setting in order for it to run properly The first thing you should do is find out what setting "Need for Speed" should run in You can usually find this information in the instruction manual After that, adjust the settings according to the manual Click on Start-> Settings->Control Panel A new window will appear with a number of different icons Locate the icon labeled "Display" and double click on it Another window will appear, this is your display properties window Click on the settings tab on the top Then, click on the drop down arrow button located near the color settings box and select the preferred setting according to the instructions in your manual If this solution doesn't seem to fix your problem you might want to try to defragment your computer Sometimes games run slow when there's too much unnecessary information in memory You can do this by clicking on Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Disk Defragmenter Then follow the instructions on your monitor to start the defragment This can usually take a while so be patient Good Luck !
