Everytime I try to access MSCONFIG it will only stay open for a second and then close on it's own. I've tried it using the Run command and from the folder itself. What can I do to fix this?

To whom it may concern:

When you enter MSCONFIG it should stay open and not close on its own I suspect that you have a virus on your computer

If you have a anti-virus program, update the program then scan your system If you do not have a anti-virus program you can scan your system by going to this website, http://housecall.antivirus.com/, for free but it will not erase any viruses If you scan with that website and have a virus it is highly suggested that you go out and purchase a anti-virus program.

Another thing to do is to check if you have any spyware on your system A great program to do this with is Spybot, you can download this program for free to search for spyware on your system The website for this program is http://security.kolla.de/ Once you download and install it make sure you get all the updates and then scan your system and delete any spyware If you surf the internet most likely you have some spyware on your computer, it is very common.

Doing this should solve your problem and you should be able to open MSCONFIG without it closing on its own.

Sincerely,

Dimitrios Theodorou
