My office has 4+ computers that it would like to donate to a good cause. However, we want to erase/strip the hard drive before donating. Is this hard to do? Is there a program to help us do this -- or do you have any suggestions on how we find out how to do this? Do you have any suggestions about who to donate the machines to? I heard that some high schools accept old computers as tools for students to learn how to work on machines, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Janna

There is a great website online that is made exactly for the task that you are requesting for It's called Active@KillDisk and you can visit their website by going to www.killdisk.com They even have a free trial version that you can access to test it out Once you're on the website click on the link labeled "Download Free Version" and follow the step by step instructions to download the program I'm pretty sure you can go to any local school in your neighborhood and they would be more than happy to accept your computers as a donation Good Luck with KillDisk !!
