My HDD WD100AA stopped working. Date of Manuf: 17 Apr 2000.

I need to recuperate old emails and data but not spend too much money. Can you help me find a used or refurbished one so that I can try and switch attached circuit boards and see if it works? What about repairing it?

Regards,

Sergio

Unfortunately you can't get anything from your harddrive once it is no longer operational.

As far as getting a used one, I wouldn't look in that direction You don't know what is on the harddrive itself You may end- up buying a damaged hdd This could lead to more problems than you asked for What I would do is get a hdd from another computer that is in good working order Make sure it is compatible with your motherboard This is so you can test your motherboard and see that there are not any errors with your board All your information is on your old hdd, so getting your data and emails is no longer an option.
