Revocation Certificates

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am running Windows ME. Lately when I try to log on to sites that I know are secure, such as my bank or Mail Order Pharmacy, it seems like forever, (at least 3 minutes) of nothing opening, and then I get a pop up message that states: "Revocation Information for the security certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to proceed?" I have checked and certificates are valid. Once I click to proceed my pages load quickly.

Why is this happening? It sure is aggravating!

The reason why you might be having this problem is because your "check for server certificate revocation" option in Internet Explorer is turned on In Internet Explorer click on Tools->Internet Options and then click on the connections tab Select the appropriate connection and then click on Settings Under "Automatic Configuration", click to clear the "Automatically Detect Settings" check box Click OK and hopefully all will be fixed Good Luck!!
