I have heard that a router acts like a firewall when connected, is that true? We have a cable modem hooked up the the router and then to different machines. I have also heard that the router only sends out one IP over the internet, no matter how many machines are connected. If you could exlplain how vulnerable my machine is when connected to the internet via router it would be greatly appreciated.
