i just brought new components to put together a pc, 2.8ghz P4,512 ram,120g seagate HD 8 X DVD burner. Pluged in my velta 19in CRT monitor, but it wont work!?!Is it the motherboard?

To whom it may concern:

I would assume you have on-board video If so I would suggest trying out a video card that goes into your AGP slot If you plug a video card into the AGP slot and that works, then yes it is your motherboard If it still does not work it means some components may not have been properly installed

If that is the case I would reccomend looking at all of your components and making sure everything is in the correct location After doing so your computer should work.
