My computer and peripherals are plugged into a surge supressor which is then plugged into a wall socket that I can't reach easily - it's behind a large desk unit. In the event of an electrical storm, should I turn the surge supressor on or off. I will have shut down the computer and printer.

Thanks!

You should always keep the surge protector on for your computer and any other electronics you have This will help to prevent an electrical spike from damaging the components inside During electrical storms I would highly suggest you unplug your computers, modems, and any other equipment from the outlet to help further protect your electronics.
