Have you tried MSCONFIG?

I want to install pc-cillin 2004. I have a free version of zone alarm 4.5 installed. I have4 seen posts of problems uninstalling this. How can I desable zone alarm so it will not run from start up?

To whom it may concern:

You stop zone alarm from starting up when you boot your computer click ok start, then run In the run box type MSCONFIG After the MSCONFIG window comes up click on startup tab Once you are in the startup tab search through the list and find zone alarm, when you have found zone alarm clear the checkbox to the left of the line When you clear the check box click ok, once you click ok it will ask you if you want to restart or exit without restarting All this means is that if you restart the changes will take effect now or if you exit without restarting the changes will take effect after you reboot your computer the next time.

Doing this will stop zone alarm from starting at startup.
