I am running windows me and trying to load an antivirus program. It doesn't seem to matter whether it is Norton or McAfee, it will not do a complete install.
Any ideas as to why? If I go to the internet for trials of either and type in ":antivirus" for any search engine it kicks me out to my desk top......again any ideas why?

To whom it may concern:
Make sure you have all the updates of Windows ME And make sure your computer fits the minimum specifications for the anti-virus program Once you download all the updates and try to install the anti-virus again If this does not work again, it sounds like you have some kind of spyware/virus thats preventing you from installing it.
You can try a free online virus scan from a great company at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ It will not erase any viruses but will tell you if you have any
Another thing you can try is to search your computer for adware which is simular to a virus You can get free adware removing program by going to security.kolla.de/ to download the program This scans for adware and removes anything thats harmful to your computer After you install the program download all the updates before you scan for any adware, after you scan you will be able to remove anything found.
Hope this helps!
