How can I stop someone from downloading on to my computer

is there a way to prevent my daughter from downloading programs onto her computer?

You can double-click MYCOMPUTER>then double-click on CONTROL PANEL>in this folder click on USER ACCOUNTS>here you create a new account for your daughter and don't give her administrative priviledges This should prevent her from downloading anything you don't want her to.
