My C:\Windows folder is missing. I don't see how this is possible because the computer supposedly needs this folder in order to run. How can I get my C:\Windows folder back? Whenever I search for a file that was in that folder, nothing comes up, so the folder really is GONE. Please help A.S.A.P. It is VERY VERY VERY important!!!

If you accidentally deleted the C:\Windows folder and have not emptied out the Recycle Bin as of yet you can still locate the folder and recover it Just double click the icon Recycle Bin located on your desktop and locate the file and then click on Recover If this doesn't work, you can try a system restore which will rollback your computer to an earlier date Click on Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore Your computer automatically creates restore points so you can roll back to any specified date Try restoring the computer back a month early just to be on the safe side Lastly, I would suggest for you to re-install your operating system So go wipe clean those dusty re-installation cd(s) that came along with your computer when you first purchased it and pop it into your cd-rom and begin re-installing Good Luck!!
